I had them add my Support call to the bug # above. Their suggestion was to use a selection set. My impression is that it wasn't a high priority since they had a work around. brian

I am trying to configure RCE (Roadway Characteristics Editor) to use Open Street Map as the default base map when the user opens up RCE. You can edit the sample_webmap.json file to default to different base maps but I haven't figured to how to use the Open Street Map url. Has anyone done this? brian RCE Custom Base Map Help

The ablity to edit within the Attributes Editor and being able to add related records like you do when editing feature classes/related records would be a welcome addition. We store a lot of LRS data in standalone tables. If our users had the ability to easily edit that data along with the associated related records, we could eliminate a ton of custom code/toolbars. Just seems like this would be a fairly easy leap since the only really difference between the standalone table and feature class is the spatial column.

I noticed flashing in Chrome when we upgraded from JS 2.5 to JS 3.9. I concur with greenlaw with the number of layers (4 in my case), maximized browser, and a 24" display were the variables that triggered the flashing. I did check this morning using the "classic" navigationMode and that seemed to clear up the problem. Thanks AMUSGSjvrabel for providing a workaround.

Here is a jQuery example to have full screen crosshairs. I could see this being of value. Google "crosshair full screen javascript" for other examples. brian http://jsfiddle.net/j08691/9DRxT/1/

Hi Paul, I did try with your url and it didn't work. Your gif is 5000x5000 pixels, I think that is the problem. I do see it coming back to the browser but not displaying. I created a 25x25 pixel red gif and tried again. It worked as expected. I did Google cursor size and Firefox ignores anything over 128x128 pixels. brian

你好保罗,我没有使用setMapCursor方法but have had the success with setting cursor on the map container node. brian //set cursor so users know what is going on when the use the mouse wheel! var mapNode = dom.byId("map_container"); on(map, 'zoom', function(e){ if(e.zoomFactor >= 1) { //scroll in domStyle.set(mapNode,{"cursor": "url(js/images/zoom-in.gif), url(js/images/zoom-in.ico), auto"}); } else if (e.zoomFactor < 1) { //scroll out domStyle.set(mapNode,{"cursor": "url(js/images/zoom-out.gif), url(js/images/zoom-out.ico), auto"}); } }); on(map, 'zoom-end', function(e){ domStyle.set(mapNode,{"cursor": "default"}); });

Alison, Esri said it wasn't possible with the current architecture. It was suggested I put in an enhancement request. I did not dig any further into the .js files but that seemed like the logical place to change it globally. Sorry. brian

We currently have 3 ArcGIS Servers (10.2) in our site. 2 in one cluster for serving out map images, the 3rd one is in a separate cluster and is used for geoprocessing. I happened to look in the Users\

Yes Tanu, I understand how to change the lock database schema on a service by service basis. I have the instructions link in the original post. We have made a business decision that all of our web services should have this feature turned off. I am looking how to change this so when we add a new web service, it is unchecked by default. There must a config file somewhere that can be changed so the default is set to false. I realize that I can easily change it every single time I add a web service. But as you know when you forget to do something and you have to make a change and restart a service it renders every other web service (within that specific folder) useless while it is being restarted.

Thanks for the responses. I am at 10.2. I did find the MyService.MapServer.json file where the parameter "schemaLockingEnabled": "true" is set for each individual map service but I was looking for a way so when adding a map service, the schemaLockingEnabled would default to false instead of true. There is some code in the C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\framework\runtime\tomcat\webapps\arcgis#manager\js\esri\arcgismanager.js file that looks like it is setting the check box within ArcGIS Manager. I am not quite following the code so I am not sure if I can change it in here or not. Plus I do not know if ArcMap calls some of these files when initially publishing. I did watch the publishing process through Fiddler and didn't figure out what url was used to populate that field. From arcgismanager.js: _schemaLockingEnabledCheck:null _setSchemaLockingEnabledAttr:function(_620){if(!_620){_620="true";}this._schemaLockingEnabledCheck.set("checked",_620==="true"?true:false);},_getSchemaLockingEnabledAttr:function(){return this._schemaLockingEnabledCheck.get("checked");}
