Hi Amit, I was able to solve the problem. Even though I could not add a web map to the Editor through the portal interface, I was able to simply add the item id to the config.json file and the extent problems were corrected. It is interesting that adding the json for the exact same webmap as a local webmap has a different result and will not preserve the extent of the portal map. Thanks again for your help.

Elizabeth, That tells me that you had an issue with your requires for domConstruct and query then. The use of dojo.query and dojo.create is reverting to old way (i.e. prior to dojo 1.7).

Excellent suggestion Elizabeth! I'd also like to see where you can simply type in a value. For when a user would use my site www.sagis.org/map to send someone a link to a property, there are hundreds of thousands of properties. I also noticed it does not populate the list with all values. Share widget bug And you have to type very quickly, to move the menu to the value you want. Type to slow, it only picks up the first character. Also, lay uses will probably not realize even you can type to move a dropdown menu to a value. Sorting would help, and I would love to see that. A-Z and Z-A for text and numeric. And if users could manually type in a value to a box, instead of pick on the menu. In fact, I'd like to be able to 'share' queries created by the Filter widget. Similar to how you can 'share' a query by URL with Robert's eSearch. So a user could string together conditions with AND and OR for multiple fields or criteria sets.

Of course! I couldn't have solved this without your answer. Since I can't mark 2 answers, I have changed the mark.

I think that did it! Thank you! I made the following changes to the toggleGTM: toggleGTM: function () { if (this.toggleButton.label == 'Tool Stopped'){ this.toggleButton.set('label', 'Tool Started'); this.toggleButton.set('baseClass', 'success'); this.map.setMapCursor('crosshair'); //this.own(this.mapClickEvtHandler = this.map.on("click", lang.hitch(this.createToolbar()))); this.createToolbar(); } else if (this.toggleButton.label == 'Tool Started'){ this.toggleButton.set('baseClass', 'danger'); this.toggleButton.set('label', 'Tool Stopped'); this.map.setMapCursor('default'); //this.mapClickEvtHandler.remove(); this.defmapClickEvtHandler.remove(); this.gtoolbar.deactivate(); this.onClose(); } },

Finally solved the problem. It turned out the error function tagged on at the end disrupted everything else. I removed it and the point and value started working fine. Thank you for helping me work through this! var deferred = this.map.snappingManager.getSnappingPoint(evt.screenPoint); var sms = new SimpleMarkerSymbol(SimpleMarkerSymbol.STYLE_DIAMOND, 12, new SimpleLineSymbol(SimpleLineSymbol.STYLE_SOLID, new Color([70, 0, 130, 1]), 1), new Color([70, 0, 130, 1])); deferred.then(lang.hitch(this, function(value){ var point; if (value !== undefined){ point = value; } else { point = evt.mapPoint; } var graphic = new Graphic(point, sms); this.map.graphics.add(graphic); }, /* function(error){ console.log('Error'); } */ ));

Various Dojo documentation as this involves several classes, but mainly dojo/on — The Dojo Toolkit - Reference Guide . But looking at esri OTB widget is great place too. You will see that they use this.own all throughout their widget an only use dojo on.

I get your point regarding question 2 and I followed up on it. I checked the AGOL setting and yes, it allows for anonymous access. As I mentioned above, I have tested my proxy using other urls such as http://

Are you using code similar to the Print Sample in the help? If so you can modify the names when you loop through the list of templates to add them to the print widget. Here's an example where we check for a value of "MAP_ONLY" and modify it to Map. templates = arrayUtils.map(templateNames, function(ch) { if(ch === "MAP_ONLY"){ ch = "Map"; } var plate = new PrintTemplate(); plate.layout = plate.label = ch; plate.format = "PDF"; plate.layoutOptions = { "authorText": "Made by: Esri's JS API Team", "copyrightText": "

You are so right -- that was the problem. People were trying to install the latest version of ArcReader and not version 10.0. Thanks very much for the help.
