This should be a configuration option in the new map viewer rather then in Experience Builder. Not only Experience builder is impacted but all app builders that rely on JavaScript 4.x (e.g. new ArcGIS Dashboards)

Group layers are a powerful means to group your data by theme. It also allows you to bring some structure / hierarchy into you data. However, after creating a web map in the map viewer and saving it, all group layers are collapsed by default. This is annoying, especially when you have groups at different levels. An end user should expand the groups at each level, not only in the table of contents of the map viewer itself, but also in the layer list widget of Experience Builder, ArcGIS Dashboards , ... It could be very useful to be able to save for each group layer separately whether it should be expanded or collapsed when opening the web map.

When creating a hosted feature layer view , it could be very useful when having the possibility to set the view definition based on the geometry of another layer. E.g.: filter all points within the exact boundary of a town Drawing a rectangle or a freehand polygon is not sufficient to do this. The tooltip in ArcGIS Online is also misleading stating "Create a filtered view of your layer using attributes, by drawing a shape or by using a shape from another layer". The latter is simply not implemented yet.

Exactly the same issue here. The backup of ArcGIS Datastore is just missing. Could you ever solve it?

你好,这是我ndeed very strange that you cannot republish an existing service (overwrite an existing service) through ArcGIS Pro if someone else owns it. This makes collaboration between the different team members of the GIS team within a company or administration very cumbersome. I was in contact with Esri support and they said that this is only possible with an administrator role. Another workaround is that you temporarily reassign the ownership of the item in ArcGIS Online. Or that you work with a generic publisher named user and share his credentials among team members. I'm also wondering whether this behavior is not a bug. When you define a custom role that has the administrative privilege Content > Update, through ArcMap it is perfectly possible to republish a service that you don't own! However, in Pro you'll see the following Window: Only the My Content tab is available. I believe My Groups or My Organization should appear here when logged in with a custom role that has the admin privilege Update Content enabled. I hope Esri will fix this in a future release of Pro Best regards Phil

Hi Scott, Thanks for your reply. 3 ArcGIS Enterprise deployments would be a bit of an overkill I'm going to investigate your Enterprise sites proposal, but not sure if this will fix the authentication issue in which I'm running in. I want to be able to access secured REST services over different DNS aliases and this implies that Portal should generate a token (which only works for a single DNS now). I don't see how Enterprise sites could be the workaround, but I'll investigate! Best regards Phil

Hi, Thanks for your reply. As far as I know, you can only configure just 1 WebContextURL, so this is not the solution I'm afraid Best regards Phil

Hi folks I'm wondering whether it's possible to deploy Portal for ArcGIS with several DNS entries? The customer always had a standalone ArcGIS Server that had several DNS entries, so the ArcGIS REST directory was accessible over different URLs: https://DNS1/arcgis/rest/services https://DNS2/arcgis/rest/services https://DNS3/arcgis/rest/services I installed now a Portal and federated ArcGIS Server with https://DNS1/arcgis as the services URL. I set https://DNS1/portal as the webcontexturl. Portal seems accessible over the 3 DNS entries: https://DNS1/portal https://DNS2/portal https://DNS3/portal (when logging in in https://DNS2/portal& https://DNS3/portal in the item details I see https://DNS1/arcgis/rest/services/xxxx/MapServer which makes sense as the federation was based on DNS1; I can live with that) However, 2 things don't work: When trying to login on ArcGIS Server Manager or to login on the REST directory, when using the DNS2 or DNS3 URLs nothing happens. I see a token error in the DEV tools of the browser. One of the URLs that is constructed is the following one: https://DNS1/portal/sharing/generateToken?request=getToken&serverUrl=https://DNS2/arcgis/login/../rest/services&token=BxkO5jdW8lsf2kDz0oUoUtBLggOj_JodPeF5at4twwKHdWYsMoswBK6_rPAKETh0edQtyxQeW7AeUPRtUOG9Crvqoi7pHYJu0wSJkhdG_IjF5WITXaYEw2-lEG-ZoTNoD2syhR-Ah48oGdOnuZfTYIC9-6UBeZWmdFxVhHW_9CEa4OrOGcMRemw3oVSndvaIAyOoQ_WWzzzaCSbqOU9A1qAdm4Rg0ihfepo0aVimylM.&referer=DNS2&f=json When manually editing the URL above and substituting DNS1 by DNS2, a token can be generated. My question: how can I get ArcGIS Server manager + the REST directory working over the DNS2 and DNS3 entries? Now it only works when using DNS1. Is it even possible? The fact that I can manually correct the URL that gets the token from Portal, gives me hope that there should be some way to fix this Anyone some ideas? Thanks in advance! Phil

Hi folks I have a question about federating a Portal with a standalone ArcGIS Server. This ArcGIS Server has been in use for a long time and has > 150 services that are nicely grouped into thematic folders. After doing the federation, I ended up with a long list of ungrouped items in Portal. The only way to bring some structure into it, as far as I know, is manually recreating those ArcGIS Server folders in Portal and moving items into the corresponding Portal folder. I'm wondering now whether this can be automated in some way? It would be nice if the ArcGIS Server folder structure would be preserved in Portal when doing a federation with a standalone ArcGIS Server All ideas / thoughts are welcome Best regards Phil
